20-Hydroxyecdysone which is commonly known as 20E or ecdysterone is one of the most common molting hormones found in crabs, insects etc. It can also be described as an ecdysteriod hormone. This hormone helps in controlling the molting and change of arthropods. 20E can achieve all this because it occurs naturally. Various plants also have this hormone. This helps the plants in disrupting the reproduction and growth of insect pests. Physical performance can also be enhanced by using the 20E hormone in certain preparations. Although, research still terms the 20E as a steroid hormone and feels that it has the same possible side effects as a normal steroid. There are still a lot of unanswered questions as to what is the extent of effect of this hormone on mammals and humans. Therefore, much more research is needed before 20-hydroxyecdysone is available for consumption by humans.
6,7 Dihydroxybergamottin is a furanocoumarin. This ingredient is generally present in grapefruit. It is also present in bergamot oil from which it derives its name. To a lesser extent it is even available in other citrus fruits and essential oils. Consuming 6, 7 dihydroxybergamottin supplements have an affect on the metabolism of various pharmaceutical drugs. 6, 7 Dihydroxybergamottin inhibits isforms of cytochrome P450 enzyme, especially CYP3A4. It is because of this feature that the enzyme prevents oxidative metabolism of some drugs, which results in accumulation of the drug in the bloodstream. According to some clinical studies 6, 7 dihydroxybergamottin hamper the body’s ability to digest caffeine, thereby extending its presence in the body. Patients under medication must therefore avoid consuming grapefruit and related supplements.

DHEA, short for dehydroepiandrosterone, is a steroid which is found in abundance in humans. DHEA seems to be involved in a variety of biological effects in mammals, produced by the adrenal glands, but also being synthesized in the brain, it manipulates the androgen receptor indirectly and directly, if indirectly then through metabolites. Considered a neurosteroid, it can be also viewed as a prohormone for the gonadal steroids. DHEA is produced by means of two cytochrome P450 enzymes from cholesterol. As a supplement it continues to be of widespread importance and popularity, particularly within the body building communities. Apparently the use of DHEA is helping individuals lose weight, burn fat and bulk up on muscle mass. Other purported effects include promoting of the immune system, healthy blood sugar levels and overall well being.
Magnesium Stearate is coommonly used as a filling agent in the manufacture of capsules and tablets, such as vitamins, the source of this ingredient is typically bovine. However, there is an increasing number of vegetarian options in which the product specifically indicates it contains magnesium stearate from vegetable sources.
Naringin, which is a citrus flavanoid that is found in grapefruit. Naringin is commonly used in energy supplements as it may extend the duration of the effects of caffeine.
Ponasterone
Silica is silicon dioxide, a trace mineral found in bones, teeth, skin, eyes, glands and organs. It also helps keep skin elastic. Silica works with calcium to maintain bone strength.
Stearic Acid is a saturated fatty acid that occurs in many animal and vegetable fats and oils. Stearic acid is useful as an ingredient in making candles, soaps, plastics, oil pastels and cosmetics, and for softening rubber. Stearic acid is used to harden soaps, particularly those made with vegetable
oil. Even though stearic acid is a saturated fat, studies have suggested that it has little effect on blood cholesterol levels, because such a high proportion is converted to oleic acid.
Theobroma Cacao is used to reduce blood pressure and aid in blood circulation as well as fight off numerous illnesses and diseases.
Turkesterone is the analogue of a steroid hormone 20-hydroxyecdysone found mainly in insects. It is also referred to as a phytoecdysteroid having an 11a-hydroxyl group. Turkesterone has started gaining popularity because of a host of benefits that it brings along in an extremely low concentration.
Some of the most commonly found benefits of turkesterone in human body are enhanced muscle to fat ratio, accelerated growth of fast and slow twitch muscles, faster and better removal of lactic acid from the body, improved bone growth and increase in RBC count in blood.
Turkesterone is not available as commonly as many of the other stimulants are. Also, the combination of turkesterone with other ingredients has to be exact and properly balanced for best results. Turkesterone is generally obtained from insects and some plants which grow naturally in several East Asian nations.
